After the “Big” Super Bowl on Sunday, I was reading a very interesting article where the writer declared the “Winners” and the “Losers” of the Super Bowl. We all know that the Giants came away the winners of the game and that the Patriots came away as the losers. But, this writer wanted to dig much “deeper” surrounding who were the Winners and Losers. For instance, he described the coach of the Patriot as the big loser in that he made a bad call in the third quarter where he “might” have kicked a field goal vs. going for it on Fourth and 13. And, according to this article, the Patriot’s coach wore different clothing (a bright red hoodie vs. his normal grey hoodie) and he was jinxed for this move. And, the writer talked about Brady, the infamous quarterback of the Patriots. He was a “guarantee” for VICTORY! But, he did not come through. Then, the writer bragged on the Patriot’s Wes Welker as being a winner, the young man from Texas Tech, (which by the way is my Alma Mater), for fulfilling a Super Bowl record of Eleven catches.
As I read this article, I could not help but be reminded of “Fame and Glory”. Who really are the “Winners” and the “Losers” of this life. We all know that we MUST be in Christ Jesus to win. He is our VICTORY from the beginning and until the end!!!
He is our Alpha and Omega!!! ‘Nuff said.
Let’s continue to TELL THE WORLD about Him, what He has done, and what He expects from us as His disciples.
